Last pressed in 2018 for its 20th anniversary, Binary Finary's iconic trance anthem '1998' gets a timely reissue on Armada and still sounds every bit as dramatic, theatrical, euphoric and epic as it did 28 years ago. Full thrust arpeggio business with all the spine-tingling, skin-rippling bells and whistles, this remains one of the most enduring and universally appealing trance anthems of its era. A cornerstone of late-'90s trance, Binary Finary's 1998 remains one of the genre's most iconic anthems, rising through the UK Dance Chart and becoming a defining soundtrack of the global trance movement. Featuring legendary remixes by Paul van Dyk and Victor Ruiz, this vinyl edition also includes the new Paul Oakenfold & Marie Vaunt remix on the B2. Whether it's the epic original, Victor Ruiz's deeper, more progressive remix or the ultimate wig-burning flip from the mighty PVD himself, this is top quality trance from a golden time in dance music. Think Human Traffic, think Gatecrasher, think fluoro garms, face paint, glowsticks and Japanese cars. If you know, you know. If you don't then play it anyway and get a taste of one of dance music's most innocent - yet totally commercial eras. Grab this now.
